These chocolate chip cookies are irresistible. Take a bite into these goey and delicious cookies made with nutritious date sugar.

Ingredients
-
1 cup butter (you can sub ½ cup apple sauce or banana for a healthier option)
-
1 ½ cup PurDate sugar (sifted if clumpy)
-
2 eggs
-
1 tsp baking soda
-
½ tsp salt
-
2 cups flour
-
9 oz chocolate chips or bar
-
2 tsp vanilla
Directions
Preheat oven to 350F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Cream butter, date sugar, and eggs.
Add flour, baking soda, and salt.
Mix in vanilla and chocolate chips. Set dough in fridge for 30 minutes to harden.
Roll into balls or use a cookie scoop and place on cookie sheet.
Bake cookies for 8-10 minutes at 350F until edges are just slightly golden brown. If you want a more chewy cookie bake less time and remove the cookie from the oven before it turns golden brown. Allow time to cool so that they hold together better or eat them while they are deliciously gooey and warm!

My daughter just made these and we ate them all up! I would say they are a bit more cake-y than chewy. Maybe because she melted the butter first but they were still fine! Great recipe. Will make again
