Need a side dish for dinner tonight? Our easy roasted carrots recipe is the perfect dish, adding that extra touch of "delicious" with Purdate date sugar. Also great for a healthy mid-day snack.

Ingredients

1 lb carrots, frozen or chop fresh into sticks

3 Tbsp butter
-
4 garlic cloves, minced
-
2 Tbsp PurDate sugar
-
1 tsp of chopped thyme or parsley
-
salt & pepper to taste

date syrup (optional)
Directions
Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
Wash and peel carrots. Slice into sticks or use frozen carrots.
Heat the butter on medium heat in an oven-safe skillet on the stove. Once the butter begins to turn a golden brown add the garlic and sauté for 30 quick seconds.
Add the carrots, PurDate sugar, and a few sprinkles of salt, pepper and 1 tsp of thyme or parsley. Mix to combine.
Place the oven safe skillet into the oven and roast for 15-20 minutes until the carrots are tender.
