Favorite side dish ever? Absolutely. You cannot go wrong with a cauliflower recipe, and this simple bowl of Sesame Cauliflower with lemon is definitely mouth watering.

Ingredients
-
1 head cauliflower, cut into florets
-
3 large egg whites (sub 1/4 cup of milk & 2 Tbs flour for vegan)
-
1 cup bread crumbs (panko works nicely here)
-
1/2 tsp paprika
-
1/2 tsp ground cumin
-
½ tsp garlic powder
-
salt and pepper to taste
Sauce
-
1 tsp sesame oil
-
¼ cup PurDate sugar
-
¼ cup low sodium soy sauce
-
1 ½ Tbsp apple cider vinegar
-
1 tsp sweet chili sauce or sriracha (add more if you want spicy)
-
½ tsp garlic powder
-
2 Tbsp water
Optional toppings
-
sesame seeds
-
chopped green onions
Directions
Preheat oven to 400F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Combine breadcrumbs, paprika, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl. In another bowl whisk egg whites together. You can do this in two different ziplock bags as well.
Immerse cauliflower in the egg whites first then the breadcrumb mixture and set on baking sheet. Bake for 15 minutes or until crispy but not soft.
Prepare the sauce. Combine all of the ingredients and bring to a simmer until the mixture thickens. Add a small amount of cornstarch if you want a thicker sauce.
Add the cauliflower to the sauce and mix until combined.
Sprinkle sesame seeds and green onions on top and serve over rice.
